Configuring Riverbed Edge and Associated Data Sources

Riverbed Edge provides connectivity to Riverbed Data Store for supported data sources. These data sources:

  1. Are network monitoring applications embedded in a customer environment. For instance, Riverbed Technology's NPM Data Sources (e.g. NetIM, NetProfiler, and AppResponse).

  2. Contribute observability data to Riverbed Data Store to support advanced processing capabilities such as analytics, automation, or multi-modal AI. The data sources send observability data through Riverbed Edge which manages those data source connections into Riverbed Data Store.

Each data source supported by Edge must be configured to communicate with an Edge instance for the data source to enter into the Riverbed Data Store. Each Edge can support multiple associated data sources.
