Subflows

The Subflows Explorer page lists subflow runbook definitions in Riverbed IQ Ops. This page is focused on subflow lifecycle management. You can search and filter subflows, review subflow metadata and version information, and use actions such as opening, importing, exporting, duplicating, and deleting subflows when your role permissions allow those actions.

  1. Navigate to the Subflows Explorer page:

    1. Click the Launchpad button ⁝⁝⁝.

    2. Click IQ Ops > Automations.

    3. In the Automations section, click Subflows.

Explorer table

The Subflows Explorer table shows subflow rows and action cells. The exact set can vary based on your saved column preferences and available table width.

The table can include the following Explorer columns and action cells:

  • Actions: Additional row actions for the selected subflow, including version-aware actions when older versions exist.

  • Created By: The user that created the subflow.

  • Description: The subflow description text.

  • Built-In: Indicates whether the subflow is built in.

  • Last Updated: The elapsed and timestamp view of the latest update.

  • Last Updated By: The user that last updated the subflow.

  • Status: Validation and warning icons for the subflow configuration.

  • Subflow: The subflow name.

  • Version: The subflow version.

Searching and filtering

Use the text search field and filter panel to find subflows by metadata.

Filter facets are separate from Explorer table columns. Subflows Explorer applies a fixed subflow scope and can show facets such as created by and last updated by.

Filters and facets follow the same pattern as other Explorer pages. Active filters appear below the search area, and you can use the Facets Chooser to manage visible facets.

Toolbar and row actions

The Subflows Explorer toolbar can provide New, Import, and Delete actions based on your permissions.

The Actions menu in each row provides context actions for that subflow, including version aware actions. Depending on subflow state and user permissions, these actions can include opening a selected version, exporting, duplicating, deleting, and deleting older versions.

Expanded rows and details behavior

The Subflows Explorer uses expandable table rows to show additional details and actions inline.

Note: The Subflows Explorer does not use the right-side Details blade pattern that is used by metadata entity Explorer pages such as devices and interfaces.
