Static vs. Interactive Widgets

Insights Studio allows you to create both static and interactive widgets. Interactive widgets enable dynamic data exploration where selections in one widget automatically filter and update other widgets, creating a powerful workflow for performance analysis. Widgets in Insights Studio are static by default, displaying fixed data based on their configuration. However, you can transform them into interactive components that respond to user selections and create dynamic workflows.

Static Widgets

• Widgets display independent data sets.
• No cross-widget filtering or interactions.
• Simpler to configure and understand.
• Ideal for monitoring specific metrics or creating simple reports.

Interactive Widgets

• Widgets can pass data to other widgets.
• Selections in one widget filter downstream widgets.
• Creates a guided analysis workflow.
• Requires at least two widgets to enable interactions.
